Map Hunt

Find countries, seas, rivers and landmarks on a treasure map of the world. Tap where you think it is and Emmy shows you the answer, so every guess teaches you something.

Three levels, a map of the UK, a new daily hunt, and an explore mode for poking around.

A music game

Emmy's next voyage is a musical one. We're building a game that listens while you play a real flute and sails her ship along with your notes.

It's early days, so keep a weather eye on this space.

For parents and teachers

Shipshape for grown-ups

We make the games we'd want our own children to play. That means a few promises we don't bend on.

  • No ads

Nothing to tap by mistake, and nobody trying to sell your child anything.

  • No accounts or chat

There's nothing to sign up for. Children never type their name or talk to strangers.

  • Nothing collected

Scores and progress stay on the device. Map Hunt doesn't even ask for internet access.

  • Real learning

Map Hunt follows the place knowledge and map skills in England's primary geography curriculum.

More for parents and teachers

Ahoy, I'm Captain Emmy!

My parrot and I sail the seven seas looking for treasure, and the best treasure of all is finding things out. Countries, coastlines, rivers, music: there's always something new over the horizon.

Come aboard and we'll find it together. Don't worry about wrong guesses. Every pirate misses the X sometimes!
